Today makes me laugh because I know there are students on the ACU campus wearing white t-shirts with big red iron-on letters that read, "Singles Awareness Day."

Wow. I can't count the no. of Valentine's Days I have spent being aware of my singlehood.
i'm no more aware of my singlehood on valentine's day than any other day!
the hype actually bothers me because women feel all dejected if they don't receive anything or have someone special... men are dumb enough to purchase flowers and chocolate even when they don't mean anything, just because it's Feb 14 and Hallmark says they should.
if i'm not feeling loved the rest of the year, flowers on one day ain't gonna make up for much.
i am the girl who actually means it when i say, "i don't care if you don't get me anything." i don't need valentine's day to know if he loves me or not.
Laura, I'm calling BULL on that. You would love flowers on 2/14 and you know it. You ARE a girl, whether you admit it or not. And you ARE having a good time.
i didn't say i wouldn't ENJOY flowers on 2/14 - just that i don't feel slighted if i don't receive any, COLE. and yes, i AM having a good time.
